Our Mission

Our mission is to teach and mentor youth through fishing programs, to help them find their own true value of life, and to preserve and protect the great outdoors.

Our Programs

Our organization programs operates for the sole purpose of providing underprivileged, disable and less fortunate children with the opportunity to enjoy our natural surroundings through fishing outdoor activities and educational programs.

How TACTF Started

Teach a Child to Fish is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, Kendall Newson is the founder of TACTF and a former NFL Player. Kendall's love for fishing began at the age of five. His father, an avid fisherman, would take the entire family fishing on a regular basis. Kendall's love for fishing increased, and he developed the desire to teach children all over the world.

About Us

Annually more than 58 million men, women, and children go fishing. Fishing teaches responsibility, team work, accountability and patience in seeing a task completed.
